RB Harrell keeps rolling

Chicago (Ill.) Marist (7-0) senior running back recruit Delonte Harrell (5-foot-10, 195 pounds) is having a big senior season for the state ranked Redhawks so far this season. Harrell checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news and more in this update.

"I know that I'm pretty close to breaking 1,000 yards," Harrell said. "The season has been going really well and everyone is just working hard and staying focused."

Harrell has yet to make his college decision and recapped his latest recruiting news.

"I've been staying in touch with all of the schools who have offered me. I've also been hearing from Northern Iowa, Wafford, UPenn, Dartmouth and Cornell quite a bit lately. I'm still pretty open. I haven't been able to get out to see any college games just yet. I've been focused on my team and my senior season. I was able to visit Northern Iowa over the summer but that's been it. I'm definitely going to get out and see schools in person once the season is completed."

So what's been the difference so far this season for the Redhawks success?

"It's really been pretty much the same approach this year compared to last year to be honest. We just go out and work really hard every day. We have some different names this season but it's the same approach as always. We have more experience this season which definitely helps. I just remember seeing the faces of the seniors from last season when we lost in the first round if the state playoffs. That was a horrible feeling and that loss was brutal for all of us but especially for those seniors. I know that loss really helped motivate us this year."

Delonte Harrell has multiple scholarship offers.
