RCS Chicago: 5 Headliners

The second annual Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour invades Maine South High School this Sunday May 4th. The Chicagoland invitation only top prospect camp will be the last regional camp of the year and here is my early preview of what is easily the hottest camp of the season in the State of Illinois.

Top 5 Class of 2015 Headliners
East St. Louis junior defensive end Terry Beckner Jr. (6-foot-4, 270 pounds)- ranked as a four star recruit, Beckner Jr. has offers from literally every major college football power. Beckner Jr. had a breakout Rivals Camp in the St. Louis area last spring and I fully expect Beckner Jr. to challenge for a fifth star here. Beckner Jr. brings a unique combination of speed, size and strength and can be a dominant performer in these settings. Look for everyone to challenge Beckner Jr. on Sunday.
Providence Catholic junior tight end/wide receiver Miles Boykin (6-foot-4, 213 pounds) - Boykin also made a strong impression this past winter at the Under Armour Bowl underclassmen combine. Boykin will also show whether he should be projected as a tight end or as a wide receiver at the next level. Boykin has been playing exceptionally well this spring for Core6 Athletes in 7on7 and should be able to bring his game up another level on Sunday.
East St. Louis junior running back Natereace Strong (5-foot-11, 195 pounds)- Strong is already verbally committed to Missouri yet like all of the East Side kids he will just come out to compete. Strong as far as I'm concerned doesn't have much to prove to me here. He's a standout in these events and I expect him to show well again. The biggest question mark comes in the fall with Strong, who hasn't been able to stay healthy for a full season so far in his high school career. When healthy Strong has the potential to be a game breaking back.
Chicago Gordon Tech junior defensive end Raequan Williams (6-foot-5, 280 pounds)- Ray Ray has been intriguing since his freshman year at Gordon Tech and this will be the first time I'll see him live. Williams has exceptional size and has all of the makings of being a big time next level player. However, has Williams faced the competition level he will see here on Sunday so far?
Oak Lawn Richards junior wide receiver Spencer Tears (6-foot-3, 175 pounds)- Tears, who is committed to Nebraska was one of the biggest sleeper names at least early on in his recruiting process. Tears has added weight and size since his basketball season ended this winter. Tears has also been a force this spring with Made Athletes at various 7 on 7 events. When it's all said and done I fully expect Tears to go from a 3 star Rivals ranking to a 4 star ranking in a matter of a few hours. Yes he's that good.
