Richards DT Ron Bardwell verbals to Northwestern!!

According to Oak Lawn Richards veteran head coach Gary Korhonen, Ron Bardwell, a 6'4" 280lb defensive tackle had verballed to Northwestern University this morning.

According to Korhonen "Ron's a steal for Northwestern. He's a young man of great character. He's a young man that I don't worry about when it comes to academics or off the field issues either. Athletically he has alot of potential and I feel he has the ability to play eventually on Sunday's if he really works hard at Northwestern."

Bardwell suffered a knee injury during the Class 6A state semifinals this season and is nearly recovered from the injury. Bardwell was being recruited by several MAC schools.
