"I've been working hard and getting ready for the summer and my senior year," Smart said. "I've been working on my speed and also adding more weight this off season. I'm also playing 7on7 for Boom and we just won the IMG Midwest regional title."

Smart, who ran for 2,054 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2015 discussed his latest football recruiting news.

"I've been getting some mail and text from Northern Illinois, Illinois State along with some D2 schools like St. Cloud State and Minnesota-Duluth. My dream school would be West Virginia. I just love the offense that West Virginia runs."

Smart filled us in on what he feels are his strengths on the field and what he's also working to improve this spring.

"I have pretty good speed and quickness. I also run hard at all times and I also have good body lean. I've been working on my speed and trying to improve my 40 yard dash time."

Smart is also excited about the Vikings chance for the 2016 season.

"The goal is to win state and we have a lot of kids coming back from last year (Class 5A state semifinalist). Everyone has been working hard and I can't wait to get back with the team this summer."
