Robertson: WR or Athlete?
So should Naperville (Ill.) Neuqua Valley four star ranked junior wide receiver recruit Isaiah Robertson (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) actually be considered more than just a wide receiver when it comes to his recruiting process?
"Some schools have offered me already as a safety," Robertson said. "Personally I just train and work hard to be as versatile as I can. If it's playing as a receiver or as a safety in college that's fine, as long as they recruit me."
Robertson, who has played safety since grade school opened up eyes in 2015 playing both receiver and safety for the Wildcats and head coach Bill Ellinghaus.
"I spoke to Penn State early on and they asked me if they could recruit me as a safety and then they offered me shortly after that talk. Iowa State is also talking to me about playing safety. I've also been talking to Notre Dame more and more and they told me that they would most likely recruit me as a safety."
Robertson filled us in on his latest recruiting news.
"I still have the same offers. I've been starting to get interest from Notre Dame, Washington and Tennessee. I've also been talking to the Iowa State coaches more and more these days. Notre Dame still seem pretty high on me. Washington has also started to talk and the Tennessee coaches said they liked my video."
Any visits coming soon?
"I don't have anything planned right now. I've been really focused on school and keeping my grades up this semester. The only travel I'm making is with Boom for a tournament in Las Vegas in a few weeks."
Robertson is also focused on becoming a mid term graduate next school year and being able to enroll in his college of choice for the spring semester.
"Graduating mid year has been in the plans pretty much since my sophomore year. I'm on track to graduate early and I'm excited to get a chance to get into a college and get an early start on college and football."
