TE Barkalow pledges to WIU
Forreston (Ill.) senior tight end recruit Sam Barkalow (6-foot-6, 220 pounds) decided to give Western Illinois University his verbal commitment last night. Barkalow takes a few minutes to discuss his decision here.
"I just felt that I was ready to make a decision" Barkalow said. "I looked and considered everyone who offered me but I decided to commit to Western Illinois."
Barkalow discussed why he decided to give in-state Western Illinois University his verbal commitment.
"(Western Illinois) has a great coaching staff, chemistry of the team and the facilities. Western Illinois offered me and recruited me as a tight end ."
Barkalow can now focus on his upcoming senior season.
"I'm happy that it's (recruiting process) done so I can focus on my senior season."
Barkalow and Forreston, who won the Class 1A state title in 2016 is also excited about Cardinals chances this coming season
"We look good. We have a lot of returning, experienced guys."
Sam Barkalow is verbally committed to Western Illinois University.
