TE Bjorson impressed with Illinois
Hinsdale (IL) Central junior three star ranked tight end recruit Matt Bjorson (6-foot-3, 225 pounds) made a recent return visit to Illinois . Bjorson talks about his latest impression of the Fighting Illini and much more in this recruiting update.
"I went back to Illinois last week for another visit," Bjorson said. "I've been to Illinois a handful of times now and I had just another really good experience. I really like Illinois and I also have a lot of friends and connections from my high school there."
Bjorson, who is touting 5 early scholarship offers so far this winter recapped his latest trip and impressions of Illinois.
"I had a good visit on Saturday. I was able to watch a spring practice and they had just 2-3 kids at the spring practice so I had a lot of one on one time with the Illinois coaches. The Illinois coaches like my game and I had a good talk with my recruiting coach (Luke Butkus). Illinois already has some offers out for tight end and they want to come out to my school this spring to watch me workout. Illinois definitely wants me to stay in touch with them and they reminded me that a lot can happen over the next several months."
Bjorson no question has the Fighting Illini high on his list of favorite schools so far this winter.
"I really like it at Illinois. Kentucky and Illinois are both great schools and I've been impressed with the coaches at both schools. I just feel very comfortable when I visit Illinois."
Bjorson however will continue to make multiple college visits.
"I'm still planning to get out and visit Iowa State, Minnesota, Northwestern and Miami of Ohio. I'm in the middle of indoor track season so It's been hard to juggle things around lately but I'm planning to get out to see more schools soon."
Bjorson also has been hearing from a few new schools.
"UConn, Maryland and Rutgers have all reached out lately."
Matt Bjorson has scholarship offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Northern Illinois and Kentucky.
