TE Gilroy adds a new offer
Wlmette (Ill.) Loyola Academy senior tight end recruit Charlie Gilroy (6-foot-5, 225 pounds) was able to add his sixth scholarship offer over the past weekend when Western Illinois extended Gilroy his latest offer. Gilroy checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news here.
"Western Illinois is my latest offer," Gilroy said. "I have offers now from WIU, SIU, San Diego, Army, Indiana State and Lafayette."
Gilroy, who has been focused mainly on his team camp this summer as able to get out to one summer camp so far .
"I went to a Northwestern camp on June 19th and so far that's been my only college camp. I'm looking at getting out to visit several schools on the East Coast. I've been in touch with schools like Princeton, Dartmouth, Lehigh and Colgate and I want to head out sometime towards the end of July to visit those schools."
Gilroy also is not in any rush to make his college decision.
"I don't have any real time frame yet for making a decision. I still need to go out and see more schools in person. I'm just going to look into all of my options and see those schools in person. I'm also still in touch with schools like Wyoming, North Dakota, North Dakota State and South Dakota."
Gilroy is excited about his upcoming senior season.
"The team has been looking really good in camp. WE are getting better every day and we are just reloading again. I'm rally excited to get back out on the field again for the season."
Charlie Gilroy has scholarship offers from Western Illinois, Southern Illinois, Army, Indiana State, Lafayette and San Diego.
