TE Robinson commits to NIU

Aurora (Ill.) Waubonsie Valley senior three star ranked athlete recruit Charles Robinson (6-foot-4, 215 pounds) just announced his verbal commitment to Northern Illinois University via his Twitter account.

Robinson, who had offers from the likes of Minnesota, Iowa State and Mississippi State told Rivals.com's Josh Helmholtz less than a week ago that, “Minnesota is my top school at the moment. They have been in real good contact with me and I love their fan base.”

Robinson is now the tenth known in state commitment for the Northern Illinois Huskies Class of 2018. Robinson joins Homewood-Flossmoor athlete Justin Hall, H-F defensive end Jeff Griffin, Andrew defensive end Mike DeHaan, Decatur MacArthur wide receiver Amir Brummett, Phillips defensive tackle Queneil Morrison, Palatine outside linebacker Cortez Hogans, Simeon wide receiver Leon PayneRich Central athlete Jyran Mitchell and Maine South running back Fotis Kokosioulis in the Huskies in state Class of 2018.

NIU now also has 18 known verbal commitment in the Class of 2018.

Charles Robinson is verbally committed to Northern Illinois University.
