2017 results: 11-3 (3-1) Northern Illinois Big 12 East Conference. The Redskins made the Class 4A state playoff field and defeated Kewanee, Ridgewood, Rochelle and Raby before losing to Rochester in the 4A state title game.

Did you know...that Morris will leave the Northern Illinois Big 12 East after this season to join the Interstate 8? Morris will find a much more geographically friendly schedule for all sports including football. Plus the 2019 Interstate 8 will also allow for more local rivalries for Morris such as nearby Coal City and Wilmington just to name a few.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2018 Morris Redskins? Morris and head coach Alan Thorson had a terrific run in 2017 coming up just short of winning a state title. Look for the Redskins to rely on a good senior group led by QB Mitch Mayberry along with several other starters back with extensive varsity experience. If the Redskins can bring along some underclassmen to fill in some key spots they will again be a threat in the final season of the NIB12 and beyond.
Keep an Eye on: Morris senior OL/DL Kyle Little (6-foot-4, 255 pounds). Little has terrific size and tools and should draw plenty of additional recruiting attention later this summer and into the fall. .
