Top Impact Player for St. Rita in 2017? Senior QB Jake Zylman was able to land the starting spot in 2016 and made steady progress as the season went along for the Mustangs. Zlyman will again be asked to lead the Mustangs play action passing game which should compliment the always strong Mustangs running game in 2017.
Biggest Concern heading into 2017? Can the Mustangs reload on defense especially at linebacker? The Mustangs graduated a very strong core of veteran linebacker this past spring.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2017 St. Rita Mustangs?
The Mustangs have ben a bit down over the last few seasons but can this be the season that St. Rita bounces back? If the Mustangs running game, led by a veteran line and a strong group of backs including senior Chris Childers can kick things into gear early the play action passing game should also be effective. If defense as mentioned has some keys to fill most importantly linebacker. In just about any other conference the Mustangs would be an easy state playoff team....but this is the CCL Blue where the difference between the post-season and staying home is small to say the least.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early regular season record prediction for the St. Rita Mustangs? 5-4/4-5
