2016 results: 11-1 (6-0 Three Rivers Mississippi Conference). The Comets posted a perfect 9-0 regular season record in 2016 and qualified for the Class 2A state playoff field. The Comets defeated Clifton Central and St. Bede before losing to Deer Creek Mackinaw in the 2A quarterfinals to end the season.
