Did you know...that Wilmington head coach Jeff Reents has led the Wildcats to 22 consecutive IHSA state playoff appearances? The Wildcats have missed the IHSA state playoffs in just two of the 24 years with Jeff Reents leading the football program (1994/1995).

Keep an Eye on: Wilmington got a big season in 2017 from senior to be QB Conner Dempsey. Dempsey, who will move to running back this fall is a hard nosed player with good speed and terrific vision. Dempsey will be a multi-year starter for the Wildcats in 2018.

EDGYTM's Way Too Early Regular Season record prediction for Wilmington Wildcats? 8-1/7-2
