Watch List: Jackson Farsalas

Lake Zurich (Ill.) junior defensive tackle prospect Jackson Farsalas (6-foot-3, 265 pounds) has been an impact performer for the Bears this season. Get to know this latest name to watch in the growing Class of 2019.

"We are having a good season so far (3-0)," Farsalas said. "I've also started to get mail and some interest from a few schools."

Farsalas talked abut his latest recruiting news.

"Cincinnati contacted me recently on Twitter. I also have visited Illinois, Wisconsin and Vanderbilt but those were strictly academic only campus visits. My dream school would either be Michigan State or Wisconsin. I've just always have been a Big Ten fan and both Michigan State and Wisconsin are just great schools and great football programs."

Farsalas also talked about his adjustment from last season on the varsity level to this season.

"It just feels so different this year compared to last year. Last year I was really nervous and the game just seemed so much faster. This year I feel a lot more confident. I was able to add more weight, strength and also more speed and I just feel like aI'm a much better player this year. I'm also trying to be more of a leader this season for my team and I never even considered being a leader last season."

Farsalas also discussed what he focused on improving in his game this past off-season.

"I focused hard on just improving my overall get off speed. I also worked on improving my hands and upper body strength. I also have much quicker hands this season and I also improved my lateral speed. I definitely can feel the difference in my game this season."
