Watch List: LB Mariano Sori-Marin

New Lenox (IL) Providence Catholic junior outside linebacker recruit Mariano Sori-Marin (6-foot-2, 225 pounds) has drawn a handful of Ivy League roster spot offers so far this winter. Get to know this latest name to watch in the Class of 2018 here.

"I have offers so far from Brown, Penn and Yale," Sori-Marin said. "My recruiting overall has gone well and I've also been in touch with multiple college coaches."

Sori-Marin, who saw limited playing time in 2016 because of injury ran down his latest recruiting suitors.

"Besides Brown, Penn and Yale I've also been in touch with the several other coaches from other Ivy League schools including Cornell, Princeton and Harvard. I'm also talking with the coaches from Northwestern, Miami of Ohio, Bowling Green, Illinois and Minnesota."

Sori-Marin, who touts an impressive 4.4 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) also made a recent visit to Illinois.

"I was at Illinois not too long ago for a Junior Day and it was a really nice visit. I was able to watch a spring practice and I also had a chance to talk with head coach Lovie Smith. Coach Smith talked about the new facilities at Illinois and just about the football program in general. I really enjoyed getting to talk to some of the players at Illinois. They came over and talked to us after the practice and they just seem like a good group of guys."

So what has Sori-Marin been working on this off-season?

"I'm finally completely healthy which is a plus. I'm trying to add more size, strength and speed this winter. I'm running indoor track this winter along with training."

Mariano Sori-Marin has scholarship offers so far from Brown, Penn and Yale.
