Watch List: QB Drake Davis

Naperville (Ill.) North junior quarterback prospect Drake Davis (6-foot-0, 180 pounds) has been having another impressive travel 7on7 season playing for Midwest Boom this winter. Davis, who also transferred from Bureau Valley to Naperville North this semester is yet another name to watch in the growing Class of 2018.

"It's been a pretty busy winter so far for me and my family," Davis said. "Besides moving to Naperville and starting in a new school, 7on7 has also been really keeping me busy but that's been going really well."

Davis, who amassed nearly 2,800 yards of total offense and 33 touchdowns last season for Bureau Valley in 2016 filled us in on his latest recruiting news.

"I'm planning to go to Toledo for a junior day on Saturday. I've also been in touch with some of the Ivy League schools like Penn and Princeton so far. The coaches from SIU, Toledo, Murray State and a few smaller level schools are also following me on Twitter."

Davis also talked about what he feels his strengths are on the field and more.

"I like to think that I can extend plays with my feet and I can get out of trouble with my feet. I also have good touch and good arm strength. I also take pride in being a leader for my team. I'm working hard on improving my overall footwork this winter along with just getting better knowledge of the game."

Davis has also adjusted well so far at Naperville North.

"It's been a good adjustment so far. My family likes it in Naperville and outside of the academics being a little harder, school has gone well. I've been getting to know some of the guys on the team and getting to know them better. Everyone has been really nice and welcoming."
