Watch List: QB Owen Goldsberry

Arlington Heights (IL) Hersey junior quarterback prospect Owen Goldsberry (6-foot-1, 195 pounds) is an impressive and very versatile player for the Huskies and head coach Joe Pardun. Get to know this latest name to watch in the Class of 2018 here.

"I've been training this spring and focusing on adding more strength," Goldsberry said. "I work with Tom Nelson and I also play for TNT for 7on7."

Goldsberry, who plays quarterback and safety for the Huskies in 2016 discussed his latest recruiting news.

"Today we had the coach from Bowling Green in school and that both Ball State and SIU are planning to be in school soon. I've been hearing from several different Ivy League schools along with several Missouri Valley Conference schools and also Wyoming. I made game day visits last year to Bowling Green, Illinois, Illinois State and Miami of Ohio. "

Goldsberry, who is a very strong student in the class room talks about what he feels are his strengths on the field and more..

"I'm a pretty versatile player and I also feel I have a pretty high football IQ. I also take my leadership role pretty seriously. and I try to be a strong leader for my team. Besides looking to add more strength this off season I also just want to find the best mix of strength and also keep my speed and quickness."

Does Goldsberry have a position of choice?

"I'm pretty open when it comes to a position in college. I've been getting most of my recruiting looks as a safety but I can also play quarterback and wide receiver."

Does Goldsberry have a dream school?

"I'm more of a Big Ten type of guy so really anyone in the Big Ten. Northwestern offers great academics along with strong football.
