Watch List: RB DJ Penick
Highland Park (Ill.) senior running back prospect DJ Penick (5-foot-11, 195 pounds) has all the tool to play at the next level. Penick, who also plays linebacker for the Giants this upcoming season talks about his recruiting and much more in this recruiting update.
"I went to a few different camps this summer," Penick said. "I also was able to see a lot of college coaches in school this past spring. Lately I've been focused on my team and our tam camp and just getting ready for the season."
Penick talked about some of the college who have been showing him interest this summer.
"Northern Iowa has been interested along with schools like Western Illinois, Drake, Eastern Illinois and Concordia (Minn.). I went to a Bowling Green Junior Day back in the spring and I've stayed in touch with them."
Penick, who is also a three sport athlete (football/wrestling/track) at Highland Park talked about what he feels are his strengths on the field and more.
"I feel I have good vision. I also have good acceleration and patience waiting on my blocks. I'm working hard to improve my top end speed and just trying to get that extra gear."
Penick is excited for his upcoming senior season.
'Everyone has been working really hard this summer and we have been looking pretty good. I'm pretty excited for the season and we should have a good year."
