Watch List: RB Ke'von Johnson
Joliet (IL) Catholic Academy junior running back prospect Ke'von Johnson (5-foot-8, 165 pounds) had a very strong junior season for the Hilltoppers and head coach Dan Sharp. Get to know this latest name to watch from Land of Lincoln's Class of 2018 here.
"I missed a few weeks during the season because of injury," Johnson said. "But I'm 100 percent good now and running and squatting and back to work."
Johnson has begun to draw recruiting interest and made an early season game day visit to Purdue.
"I've been hearing from a handful of schools and Purdue invited me down for a visit back in October. I just released my season highlight tape so hopefully more schools will get in touch with me. Purdue was a good visit. The Purdue coaches said they would stay in touch with me. I liked the facilities at Purdue and they have a lot to offer academically. The overall game day atmosphere was also pretty cool. I also sent Purdue my highlights a few days ago."
Johnson is also getting ready for a busy off-season.
"I'm planning to play for Boom again this year. I'm also back training hard and just working on getting better."
So what dies Johnson need to improve upon this winter?
"I want to add more muscle to my frame. I also want to continue to get faster and I need to work on being a better receiver out of the backfield."
