Watch List: ATH Craig Elmore

Chicago (IL) Phillips junior athlete prospect Craig Elmore (5-foot-10, 204 pounds) was impressive in his 2016 junior year for the Wildcats and head coach Troy McAllister. Get to know this latest Class of 2018 name to watch here.

"I've been staying busy with school and lifting and working out with my team," Elmore said. "I'm also in track so I'm waiting for track season to start up soon."

Elmore, the younger brother of 2017 three star ranked DT Chris Elmore filled us in on his latest recruiting news this winter.

"We see a lot of college coaches in school all the time. Purdue was showing interest before the coaching changes along with several smaller schools. My dream school would be Alabama. Alabama is a great school and program and they are always in the national championship game."

Elmore discussed what he feels are his strengths on the field and what he's working on this winter.

"I try to be a strong leader for my team. I always try to help out my teammates and the younger guys as much as I can. I'm more of a lead by example guy. I also think that I run the football well and that I just go hard on every play. Improving my overall speed in my main focus this winter."

Elmore, who saw playing time at running back and linebacker in 2016 is also open when it comes to a college position.

"I played linebacker for most of the season and then I was moved over to running back later in the season. I'm pretty open when it comes to a position. I try to be versatile and just help out the team as much as I can. I just wanna play."

Does Elmore have a player that he admires?

"I'm a big fan of Clay Matthews of the Packers."
