Watch List: S Josh Flowers

Carol Stream (IL) Glenbard North junior safety prospect Josh Flowers (5-foot-11, 175 pounds) has been traveling and competing across the country this winter playing for Boom Midwest. Flowers is no question another name to watch from the Home of the Panthers in the Class of 2018.

"I was in St. Louis with Boom last weekend," Flowers said. "We've been having a great run and we won another championship. It's been a lot of travel this year but it's also been a good experience and I like getting to compete against a lot of the top guys all over the country."

Flowers recapped his latest recruiting news so far this winter.

"I've been in touch with Illinois State, Central Michigan North Dakota State and South Dakota State the most so far. I've already visited Illinois State, Central Michigan and South Dakota State and I'm hoping to visit North Dakota State sometime soon. All of those coaches said they liked my junior tape and invited me to come visit them this spring or to camp with them this summer."

Flowers, who is also running track for the Panthers this spring talked about what he feels are his strengths on the field.

"I have pretty good ball skills. I'm also a pretty physical player and I love to play man coverage. I've been really focused on my feet this winter and just having better and quicker footwork."

Flowers, who along with teammates Greg Newsome, Tyrik Henderson and Jabari Fitzgerald make up one of the state's top defensive secondaries for the 2017 season is excited for this coming spring and summer.

"I definitely think we will have the best secondary in the state. Everyone is really tight and we've been playing together since lightweights. We hang out all the time and we are all really close."
