Watch List: S Sebastian Castro

Oak Lawn (IL) Richards sophomore safety prospect Sebastian Castro (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) had an eye opening sophomore season in 2016 at the varsity level. Get to know this latest underclassmen name to watch here.

"This past season was my first year on the varsity" Castro said. "I was pretty confident that I could come up to the varsity and make an impact but I was able to do more than I expected to be honest. The speed at the varsity took me a little while to get used to but then it slowed down and I was more comfortable each week."

Castro has also been starting to draw some college looks.

"I was abler to go out to visit Notre Dame about a month ago for a game day visit. I was able to see the campus at Notre Dame along with my Mom and my brother. I was also able to get onto the field for the pregame with the other recruits and overall it was an amazing experience. It was really my first ever college visit and the campus at Notre Dame was just amazing."

Castro also has seen a handful of college coaches in schools recently.

"Penn State was in school a few weeks back. Illinois and Kansas State also made in school visits and they asked about me according to my head coach (Tony Sheehan).. I would say that my dream school would be Miami (Fla.). Back in the day the U as just an amazing story."

In the meantime Castrpo is focused on finishing this week strong in the class room.

"We have finals this week so I'm really focused on finishing the semester strong. I've also been just working out and also getting ready for indoor track season. I run sprints and I also do hurdles."
