Watch List: WR Armon Brummett

Decatur (IL) MacArthur junior wide receiver recruit Armon Brummett (6-foot-3, 185 pounds) has an early offer from Illinois State this winter. Brummett, who also plays basketball and baseball for the Generals talks football recruiting and more here.

"Illinois State offer me and my brother about a month ago," Brummett. said. "We've been hearing from a handful of schools and I'm in the middle of my basketball season. We start the state playoffs on Wednesday and that's been keeping me pretty busy."

Brummett talked about adding his first offer and recent Junior Day visit to Illinois State.

"I had a fun visit to Illinois State. They have a really nice campus and I was able to talk to several coaches at ISU. The coaches at Illinois State are recruiting me as more of an athlete prospect. The coaches feel I could play either receiver or defensive back in college. I play both those positions already so it's not a big deal."

Brummett also filled us in on who else has been showing recruiting interest.

"Besides Illinois State, I've been starting to hear from Syracuse, Illinois, Iowa, Ball State and a few smaller schools. I would say that Kentucky is my dream school but that's more from a basketball side. Football wise my dream schools would be either Alabama or LSU."

Brummett broke down his game's overall strengths and more.

"I'm really good at press coverage on defense plus I can track the football pretty well. I'm also a hitter and I just love contact. I'm working on just improving my overall zone defense skills and on offense just shedding blocks better."

So what is the best thing and the worst thing about being a twin?

"The best part of being a twin is the connection and bond I have with my brother. The worst part is people always mixing us up."

Armon Brummett has a scholarship offer from Illinois State.
