Watch List: WR Shaneal Greene
Mundelein (IL) Carmel junior wide receiver prospect Shaneal Greene (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) has been impressive this winter on the camp circuit and Greene has continued to draw increased recruiting looks. Get to know this latest name to watch here.
"I've been just working out this winter and getting ready for 7on7 ," Greene. said. "I'm working out and also playing 7on7 for EFT plus working out with my team."
So which colleges have reached out to Greene so far this winter?.
"I've heard from the coaches at Illinois, Toledo, Central Michigan, Bowling Green, Iowa, Purdue, Western Illinois, Ball State and Miami of Ohio. All of the coaches have reached out and want me to come visit them soon. My dream school would be Iowa. I have family and friends at Iowa plus it's just a great school and football program. I'm planning to visit Ball State sometime in February and I'm sure that I'll get out to visit more schools in the spring."
Greene, who also played both receiver and safety for the Corsairs last season is also planning on seeing time on both sides of the football again in 2017.
"I'm working out and training on playing at both positions. A few of the college coaches have also mentioned that they like me at either receiver or safety. I would say receiver is a more natural position for me but I also have a lot more experience at receiver. I'm working hard to get more work and focusing harder on my safety skills this winter. I'm very open to playing either spot in college."
Greene broke down his game's overall strengths and more.
"I feel that I run good route and that I'm able to high point the football. I also feel I have good hand/eye coordination. I'm working hard on improving my overall speed this winter along with getting stronger."
So which current player does Greene try to pattern his game after?
"I really like AJ Green from the Bengals. He's a great receiver and is someone I watch video of all the time. "
