2. Prairie Ridge 7-0 (2)- No Samson Evans? No worries expect Superman to be just fine and the Golden Eagles provide a much needed test here. Next: vs Jacobs

3. Maine South 6-1 (3)- Does anyone else think that the Hawks forgot all about last year's loss to the Trevs? Nope me neither. Next: @ New Trier

4. Marist 7-0 (4)- Hey that junior QB Mike Markett kid is decent and is also one of the big reasons the Redhawks are soaring.

5. Lake Zurich 7-0 (5)- If only those "other" Bears played like these Bears. Next: vs Libertyville

6. Phillips 7-0 (6)- The Wildcats defense will get a big test this week against Solorio and QB Quincy Patterson. Next: @ Solorio

7. Loyola Academy 6-1 (7)- Big CCL Blue title game this week on the Emerald Isle. Next: @ Providence Catholic

8. Glenbard West 6-1 (8)- The Hitters became mudders on Saturday beating Hinsdale Central at Duchon Field. Next: @ OPRF

9. Homewood-Flossmoor 6-1 (9)- The Vikings just seem to take care of business. Next: @ Andrew

10. Barrington 7-0 (11)- Really, really, really, really impressed with Barrington QB Ray Ni(t)ro. Next: @ Schaumburg

11. Huntley 6-1 (16)- Are the Red Raiders ready to make another big step or two this coming playoff season? Next: @ Crystal Lake South

12. Naperville Central 5-2 (10)- The Redhawks still have plenty of life yet this season and better come ready to go this week. Next: vs Wheaton North

13. Wheaton North 6-1 (NR)- What? Yep the Falcons stunned everyone last Friday against Neuqua Valley. Next: @ Naperville Central

14. Hinsdale Central 5-2 (13)- The Red Devils battled Glenbard West for four quarters last Saturday, no shame in that at all. Next: @ Lyons Township

15. Batavia 7-0 (18)- The Bulldogs don't exactly light up the scoreboard on offense but that Bataiva defense has been lights out all year. Next: @ Larkin

16. Warren Township 5-2 (20)- The Blue Devils still have work left to do but could wind up a very touch match-up in 8A. Next: @ Zion-Benton

17. Lyons Township 6-1 (17)- The Lions went down to the wire but pulled out the 31-28 win over DGN. Next: vs Hinsdale Central

18. Stevenson 5-2 (12)- The Patriots will look to get back on track this week. Next: @ Waukegan

19. Crete-Monee 6-1 (21)- The Warriors continue to play well and will get another test this week against the Kays. Next: @ Kankakee

20. Providence Catholic 5-2 (23)- The Celtics have fired off 5 straight wins after losing the first two games of the year to two defending state champs with a combine record of 14-1. Next: vs Loyola Academy

21. Neuqua Valley 5-2 (19)- The Wildcats look to bounce back this week after a tough loss to Wheaton North. Next: vs Lake Park

22. Cary-Grove 5-2 (22)- The Trojans get a huge game from QB Quinn Priester last Friday beating Crystal lake South. Can the Trojans get healthy anytime soon? Next: @ South Elgin

23. Naperville North 5-2 (NR)- HUGE win for the Huskies over rival Naperville Central last Friday. Next: @ Waubonsie Valley

24. St. Rita 5-2 (25)- The Mustangs one-two offensive punch of QB Jake Zlyman and RB Chris Childers is a huge playoff key. Next: @ Brother Rice

25. Bolingbrook 6-1 (26)- The Raiders have played basically one bad half of football so far this season. Next: @ Thornton Township

26. Nazareth Academy 6-1 (15)- The Road Runners have to avoid the turnover monster this week. Next: @ St. Viator

27. Oswego 6-1 (27)- The Panthers are rolling and could very well be another team to avoid in 8A. Next: vs Plainfield South

28. Palatine 4-3 (28)- The Pirates have the potential to make a run in Class 8A, trust me on that one. Next: vs Conant

29. St. Charles North 6-1 (29)- The North Stars finish the regular season with two top games starting this week against the Vikings. Next: vs Geneva

30. Lemont 6-1 (30)- Has anyone in the South suburbs had a more consistent winning program over the last decade plus than the Indians? Next: @ TF North
