3. Maine South 7-1 (3)- Does anyone wanna face Team Swagger come Week 10? Nope. Next: @ Niles West
4. Marist 8-0 (4)- Marist might just have the best mix of an offense with multiple weapons along with a tough as nails defense in 8A. Next: vs Joliet Catholic
5. Lake Zurich 8-0 (5)- The offense is a bit different and more diverse in 2017 while the defense just wins games. Next: @ Mundelein
6. Phillips 8-0 (6)- The Wildcats had a closer than we all thought win over Solorio last Friday. Next: TBA CPL Playoffs
7. Loyola Academy 7-1 (7)- Impressive, dominant road win last Friday on the Emerald Isle. Next: vs Brother Rice
8. Glenbard West 7-1 (8)- That darn Lake Ellyn team just seems to find a way now don't they? Next: vs Proviso West
9. Homewood-Flossmoor 7-1 (9)- Speed, nasty speed here. Next: @ Sandburg
10. Barrington 8-0 (10)- The Broncos offense is Ni(t)ro powered. Next: vs Conant
11. Huntley 7-1 (11)- The Red Raiders made some nice move in the 2016 postseason. Can they make even more moves in 2017? Next: @ McHenry
12. Naperville Central 6-2 (12)- Somedays I love the DVC and other days not so much. The Redhawks have been the most consistent team in the state's hardest, least consistent conference in 2017. Next: vs Lake Park
13. Hinsdale Central 6-2 (14)- The Red Devils get the nice win over Lyons last Friday. Next: @ Hinsdale South
14. Batavia 8-0 (15)- The Bulldogs will need to crank up that dandy defense this week hosting the North Stars. Next: @ St. Charles North
15. Stevenson 6-2 (18)- The Patriots get back on track and will look towards another nice test this week hosting the Blue Devils. Next: vs Warren Township
16. Wheaton North 6-2 (13)- The Falcons have made me a believer. Old School Football Rules! Next: @ Waubonsie Valley
17. Crete-Monee 7-1 (19)- The best part of this week's game? It's at home. Next: vs Cahokia
18. St. Rita 5-2 (24)- The Mustangs get a nice win over Brother Rice and get a nice Week 9 test hosting the Cadets. Next: vs Marmion Academy
19. Bolingbrook 7-1 (25)- DO NOT sleep on this Raiders team. That's all I'm saying. Next: vs Lincoln-Way East
20. Lyons Township 6-2 (17)- The Lions have now lost two out of it's last three games and are in need of a Week 9 win over the Huskies. Next: vs OPRF
21. Nazareth Academy 7-1 (26)- The Road Runners keep moving along and have a chance at making a nice run in 6A. Next: @ Marian Catholic
22. Oswego 7-1 (27)- The Panthers are the type of team you do NOT want to see as a Round 1 opponent. Next: @ Plainfield Central
23. Providence Catholic 5-3 (20)- The Celtics will need to get it's offense back in gear starting this week at Gately. Next: @ Mount Carmel
24. St. Charles North 7-1 (29)- The North Stars have a pretty strong and balanced offensive attack this season. Good enough to dent the Batavia defense? Next: vs Batavia
25. Warren Township 5-3 (16)- The Blue Devils just couldn't get going in losing to Zion-Benton last Friday. It won't get any easier this Friday. Next: @ Stevenson
26. Palatine 5-3 (28)- The Pirates are another team that could become a very tough early draw for someone in 8A. Next: vs Hoffman Estates
27. Neuqua Valley 5-3 (21)-The Wildcats get stunned by Lake Park last Friday. Next: vs Glenbard North
28. Lemont 7-1 (30)- Could the Indians wind up in 5A? Wow. Next: @ Bremen
29. Lincoln-Way Central 7-1 (NR)- The Knights and head coach Jeremy Cordell are a scrappy bunch this season. Next: @ Thornton
30. South Elgin 7-1 (NR)- The Storm get a huge Week 8 win over Cary-Grove on Sunday. Next: vs East Aurora
