WR Calcagno enjoyed CMU visit

Naperville (Ill.) North junior wide receiver prospect Nick Calcagno (6-foot-3, 207 pounds) was able to visit Central Michigan last weekend as part of a Chippewas Junior Day event. Calcagno recaps his impressions from Central Michigan and much more here.

"I had a nice visit to Central Michigan," Calcagno said. "They invited me to come up for a visit and it was just a fun day and a good visit."

Calcagno recapped his first impressions from the Mount Pleasant. Michigan based campus.

"I really liked the coaches at Central Michigan. I had a chance to talk to several of the CNU coaches individually and they all seem like good guys. I was also able to see the facilities and the campus at Central Michigan. I liked how the campus is all pretty close together and you don't have everything so spread out like some other schools. I also know some people who go to Central Michigan and they love it up there. The CMU coaches said they loved my highlight video and that they will be back in my school for spring evaluations."

Calcagno also has a few more visits in mind this winter and early spring.

"I'm planning to visit Illinois State on February 19th for a junior day. Navy also invited me to come out for a visit. I'm planning to go to SIU for a spring game and Western Michigan also is starting to show some interest."

Calcagno in the meantime is still working hard this off-season.

"I've been training hard this winter. I'm working hard with my trainer and I'm also working out with Jon Rhattigan (Neuqua Valley/Army) and I've added some good weight so far this winter."
