WR Jackson recaps Miami visit

Chicago (Ill.) Simeon junior wide receiver recruit Jayshon Jackson (5-foot-11, 160 pounds) was one of several Land of Lincoln Class of 2018 top recruits to visit Miami of Ohio for a Junior Day on Saturday. Jackson, who also added his eight scholarship offer from the Redhawks recaps his weekend visit and much more here.

"I had a good visit to Miami," Jackson said. "I went to Miami of Ohio over the summer for a camp so this was my second visit. I was able to see the brand new indoor facility this time and everything was really nice."

Jackson also recapped his latest impressions from the Home of the Redhawks.

"I really like the coaches at Miami of Ohio. They just seem like a good staff and they also get along well with the players. It just feels like a good family vibe at Miami between the coaches and the players. It's just a good football program and they also offer a great education. The football program is on the rise and Miami is also closer to home. They offered me as a wide receiver and everyone has offered me so far at wide receiver."

Jackson also has a few additional visits set.

"I have a Junior Day visit set for Minnesota on February 19th. I'm also going to Penn State for another Junior Day on February 25th. I'm going to visit UNLV sometime in March. I'll be in Las Vegas with Boom for a 7on7 tournament. "

So who else has reached out to Jackson these days?

"I've been starting to stay in touch with some newer schools like Minnesota, Washington State, Penn State, UNLV, Syracuse and a few others. They all just want to stay in touch and some of them want me to come out and visit them this spring."

Jayshon Jackson has scholarship offers from Ball State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Miami of Ohio, NIU, SIU. Toledo and Western Michigan.
