Jackson, who helped lead the Road Runners win it's first ever football state title in 2014 discussed why he pledged to the Wyoming Cowboys.
"The thing I liked the most about Wyoming was the players. When I made my official visit they all treated me great, seemed very friendly and they took me in like I was already one of the guys on the team. That really stuck out to me the most at Wyoming. Both Coach (Craig) Bohl and Coach (Kenni) Burns also recruited me really hard. They flew out to my house for my in home visit and made me feel like I was a priority for them and showed me how much they cared about me. They also care about em as a person off the field as well as a player on the field for them."
Jackson pointed towards a few key factors in leading his to Wyoming.
"I also was impressed with the overall atmosphere at Wyoming. The school seems to be a real positive place to be and the coaches are taking the football program to another level. Wyoming is heading in the right direction. Wyoming has a lot of knowledge on that coaching staff plus they are just a fun group to be around."
Jackson was focused on both Wyoming and Nevada as his final two schools.
"When I got back from my official visit to Nevada my parents and I sat down and talked it over and they agreed that Wyoming was the best place for me. They both are great places but I feel like I can make a difference at Wyoming and I can't wait for the next four years of my life."
Kevin Jackson is verbally committed to Wyoming.
