WR Miller pledges to BGSU

Barrington (Ill.) senior wide receiver recruit Scotty Miller (5-foot-10, 170 pounds) gave Bowling Green State his verbal commitment last night. Miller talks about his decision and much more here.
"I committed to Bowling Green last night," Miller said. "They offered me on Saturday and I gave it a few days to think and talk over with my family and Coach (Joe) Sanchez. It's a great opportunity that I couldn't pass up so I committed."

Miller talked about why he gave the BGSU Falcons his verbal commitment.
"I camped at BGSU this summer. It was easily my best camp and I've remained in touch with Coach (Sean) Lewis since that camp. BGSU said they had some offers out sand that I needed to wait and be patient with them. I called and talked to Coach Lewis on Saturday and that's when they offered me. We just had a huge win over Maine South and the offer just made my day."
"BGSU wanted me to make a decision by Monday night. They said they had one spot left and wanted me to commit to them. I honestly wasn't expecting to get that offer so quickly to be honest. I just looked at my options and decided that BGSU is just too good of an opportunity to pass up. I like the coaches and really just enjoyed everything that BGSU has to offer."
Miller admits that was close to giving another school his verbal commitment before the Falcons offered.
"I really liked Western Illinois and I was giving them a lot of consideration. My Dad played there and my parents met at WIU so I have a lot of connections there. In the end I want to play at the highest level possible and still get a very strong education. BGSU offers me that and I feel great about my decision and my family is also on board."
Miller can now focus on the Broncos state playoff run as Barrington travels to take on Glenbard West this Saturday.
"We played a great game against Maine South and everyone is pumped. We go to Glenbard West and they are another great team. I know we will be ready and I can stop worrying about recruiting and that feels great."
Miller will take an official visit to BGSU in January.
