WR Muerch adds his first offer

Lombard (Ill.) Montini Catholic junior wide receiver/tight end recruit Nate Muersch (6-foot-5, 200 pounds) was able to add his first scholarship offer on Sunday from Air Force. Muersch, who also made weekend visits to both Indiana State and NIU this past weekend recaps his latest visits and recruiting here. .

"I was able to add my first offer from Air Force," Muersch said. "I also was able to make visits this weekend to Indiana State and also NIU and those visits also went well."

Muersch discussed adding his first scholarship offer from the Air Force Academy.

"It feels great to add my first offer from Air Force and I had been in contact with the coaches at Air Force but getting the offer was a nice surprise. The Air Force coaches did a good job of explaining exactly what playing for the Air Force Academy really means and what it's all about. Air Force offers some great job opportunities after you graduate from Air Force and I'm definitely excited to add my first offer from them. I'm going to try to juggle my schedule and try to get out to visit Air Force sometime soon."

Muersch also recapped his weekend visits to Indiana State and NIU.

"Both Indiana State and NIU have been very interested in me. I had a good visit on Saturday to Indiana State. I really like the coaching staff at Indiana State including my recruiting coach Tyler Funk. Coach Funk has a very positive attitude and I really enjoy talking with him and the rest of the coaches at Indiana State. Indiana State wants me to stay in touch with them this winter and spring."

"I really like NIU and I also just love the new coaches at NIU. NIU is recruiting me as a wide receiver and I had a great talk with NIU wide receiver coach Houston Jones. Coach Jones said he really likes my game and NIU is closer to home. NIU just has a lot of positives to offer and they also want me to remain in touch this winter and spring."

Does Muersch have any additional visits planned?

"I'm planning to visit Western Michigan on March 16th. I'm also set to go visit Minnesota on March 30th and I also want to try to get out to visit Air Force. My Boom 7on7 schedule really gets going in another week or so and I'm hoping to fit in a few more college visits in between my game schedule."
