WR Pierce recaps latest travels

Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard West senior wide receiver recruit Alec Pierce (6-foot-3, 191 pounds) has hit the ground running this summer. Pierce, whop took part in Wednesday's North Central College satellite camp recaps his latest travels in this update.

"I've camped at Northwestern and now here (North Central College)," Pierce said. "I also went and made two campus visits to Purdue and also Miami of Ohio."

Pierce recapped his recent Northwestern one day camp.

"I went to an individual one day camp at Northwestern because the coaches at Northwestern said they really wanted to see me workout in person. IO thought I did really well at Northwestern. I ran a 4.45 40 yard dash off of head coach Pat Fitzgerald's watch and the coaches at Northwestern all watched my workouts. Northwestern was very honest with me and said that they have several commitments now and also a small recruiting class. They want me to remain in touch with them this summer and fall."

Pierce also discussed his weekend visits to Purdue and Miami of Ohio.

"I stopped at Purdue on my way down to visit Miami of Ohio last Sunday. The coaches at Purdue said they really liked my video and that they want me to come back for a camp soon. Purdue is a really nice school. They offer a great education and I'm looking to major in engineering and they have a great engineering program. Purdue is also doing some major renovations to it's facilities."

"Miami of Ohio already offered me awhile ago so this was my first chance to go visit them. Miami of Ohio has a great campus and everything including the facilities are state of the art. I also enjoyed getting to know the coaches at Miami and I just felt very comfortable on the campus and I could see myself being a good fit there."

Will Pierce, who also just won an IHSA state championship as part of the Hilltoppers boys volleyball team make any additional camps or visits this summer?

"Wisconsin talked to me after the North Central College camp and they want me to come up and camp with them on Friday. Purdue also wants me to come down next Monday for a camp. I'm still trying to see if I can make both camps. I'm set to camp at Illinois on June 16th. Both Illinois and Wisconsin are both recruiting me the hardest lately."

Alec Pierce has multiple scholarship offers.
