WR Pierce stood out at Nike

Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard West junior wide receiver recruit Alec Pierce (6-foot-3, 191 pounds) was one of several standout Class of 2018 Land of Lincoln who had a strong overall performance at Sunday's The Opening regional camp at Halas Hall in Lake Forest. Pierce discusses his camp performance along with his week long spring break road trip last week here.

"I enjoyed it (The Opening)," Pierce said. "It was good to meet some new kids and get to know and compete against some great players."

Pierce also discussed his overall performance from The Opening on Sunday.

"I thought I did alright. I started a little slow in one on ones. It took me a little while to get used to that type of camp but once I used to it I felt I did better and better. I was pretty happy with how I tested. It was a fun camp and overall it was a good experience."

Pierce also spent his entire spring break last week on the East Coast making college visits.

"My Dad and I headed out East last week and I visited several schools. We flew into New York and I visited Columbia and Fordham and then drove to Yale. We then headed to Boston and I visited Harvard and Boston College.

Pierce discussed his impressions from his first ever visit to Boston College.

"I was able to meet the coaches at Boston College. I had a chance to sit down with the wide receiver coach and went over some practice film. They cancelled practice that day but I was able to see all the facilities and the campus at Boston College and overall everything was really impressive. The coaches at Boston College seem interested and they want me to come and camp with them this summer."

Alec Pierce has a scholarship offers from Illinois State, Fordham, Central Michigan, Columbia, South Dakota and Western Illinois.
