Did You Know That...Huntley has made the IHSA state football playoff field in four of the past five seasons?
Top Impact Player for Huntley in 2017? Senior QB/DB Eric Mooney. Mooney has been a mainstay and leader for the Red Raiders the past few seasons. Mooney is one of the fastest kids in Chicagoland and I would not be shocked to see Mooney playing on both sides of the football in 2017.
Biggest Concern heading into 2017? Can the Red Raiders reload upfront on the offensive line? Huntley brings back some impressive starters back (6 offense 5 defense) yet only senior OL Joey Wilson is the lone starter back this fall.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2017 Huntley Red Raiders?
2016 was a big year for Red Raiders football in many regards. Despite not winning the rugged FVC they defeated some well established 8A names and programs in the post-season. Huntley has great support, plenty of numbers and some of the state's top facilities. I look for the Red Raiders to challenge for the top of the FVC and beyond in 2017 and could very well again be a major player in 8A.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early regular season record prediction for the Huntley Red Raiders? 7-2/6-3
