Did you know....Coal City has made the IHSA State Football Playoff field 28 of the past 31 seasons? The Coalers also won the 1993 Class 2A state title along with placing 2nd in state in Class 4A in 2004. Also Coal City 2020 QB Payton Hutchings is a top left handed pitching prospect for the Coalers. Hutchings has given Illinois his verbal commitment in baseball.
