ATH Olges recaps WMU visit

Winnetka (Ill.) New Trier (3-2) junior athlete prospect Duke Olges (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) was able to get back on the field last Friday after sitting out the past three weeks because of an injury. Olges also was able to visit Western Michigan on Saturday and recaps his latest impressions from Kalamazoo, Michigan and more here.

"It felt so good to be back on Friday," Olges said. "I missed a few weeks because of an injury but I'm back 100 percent and I'm excited for this Thursday's game against Evanston."

Olges also made a Saturday game day visit to Western Michigan.

"I had a good visit to Western Michigan. I was able to talk a lot to some of the coaches at WMU. I also liked the fact that they didn't have a ton of recruits at the game so I had a lot of one on one times with them. I talked a lot to Coach (Jake) Moreland who's my area's recruiting coach at WMU. WMU played Wagner and they won big and it was just a really nice game day experience. WMU has a really nice stadium and facilities plus the coaches are really nice, awesome guys and It was a good first visit."

Olges also has his schedule planed with several college game day visits.

"I'm all set to visit Notre Dame this coming weekend. I'm then going to visit Northwestern on October 7th, Minnesota on October 14th, Michigan State on October 21st and then Illinois on October 28th. I'm just looking forward to getting out to see what each school has to offer and to get to know the coaches better."

Olges has also started to attract contact from a few new schools.

"Penn State has started to show some interest. Wyoming also has reached out along with Central Michigan and Purdue. I've also been in touch recently with a few Ivy League schools like Harvard and Dartmouth."
