Miller discussed adding his first offer from the South Dakota Coyotes.
"South Dakota had been stying in touch with me for a while and it was great to get my first offer from them. I really don't know too much about them to be honest. I haven't been able to visit them yet and I was just going to sit down before you called and go online to do more research on them."
Miller has also drawn recruiting attention from several schools.
"Besides South Dakota I've also been in touch with schools such as Tennessee State, Wyoming, Eastern Michigan,Ball State and Central Michigan. I was able to go out and make visits to both Ball State and Central Michigan. Ball State was nice and I liked the focus that they have on academics and how they focus on life after football and how they can help you plan ahead for the future. Central Michigan was also a good visit. They really have a nice group of coaches and I was just impressed with the staff along with the strength and conditioning program. Both schools asked me to stay in touch with them and they want me to come back this spring for another visit."
So what has Miller been working on to improve this off season?
"I'm definitely working hard to improve my footwork along with just staying lower and having better leverage. I'm also running track and I'm always working on adding more weight and strength and also keeping my speed up."
Does Miller have a dream school?
"My dream school would be the Florida Gators. I just always liked the Gators and was a big fan of Florida during the Tim Tebow era."
Mehki Miller has a scholarship offer from South Dakota.
