First offer in for DT Lee
LaGrange Park (IL) Nazareth Academy junior defensive tackle prospect Isaiah Lee (6-foot-2, 280 pounds) made a Saturday visit to Central Michigan and came away with his first scholarship offer. Lee discusses his first visit to Central Michigan and much more here.
"I went to Central Michigan for a visit on Saturday" Lee said. "It just feels great to get my first offer from Central Michigan and I also had a really nice visit."
Lee filled us in on his first impressions from the Home of the Chippewas.
"Overall the visit was nice. I really like the coaches at Central Michigan. It was a long trip but I really enjoyed myself. I was pulled aside after trying on a jersey and sent to Coach (John Bonamego ) Bonamego's office. I had a feeling something good was going to happen like an offer and it did but it was still a great surprise. I was able to sit down with Coach Bonamego for a bit and we had a good talk. I was able to see the facilities and some of the campus at CMU and everything was nice. I just liked it at Central Michigan and it was a great day."
Lee has also started to draw increased recruiting attention this winter.
"I've been in touch with the coaches from Illinois, Toledo and also Wisconsin. Syracuse and also Colorado State have started to follow me on Twitter. The coaches from Toledo and Wisconsin both made in school visits and I know that Illinois has been in school a few times already."
Does lee have any additional upcoming visits planned?
"I'm planning to go to Illinois on February 19th for a visit. Toledo and Wisconsin also invited me to come out to see a spring game so I'm going to try to set those visit up."
