Sterling (Ill.) Newman Central Catholic junior inside linebacker recruit Chase Graham (6-foot-2, 211 pounds) has already added two early FCS scholarship offers so far this winter. Graham checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news and much more in this update.

"I have offers from Western Illinois and South Dakota State," Graham said. "Both college coaches made in school visits over the past few weeks. We've also been seeing more and more college coaches in school and it's been exciting."

Graham, who was an all conference and all state player for the Comets in 2017 has also drawn additional recruiting attention this winter.

"Besides WIU and South Dakota State, I've also drawn interest from Illinois State, Western Michigan, Minnesota and also Northern Illinois. Illinois State made an in school visit and watched one of my workouts. Western Michigan and NIU was also in school and Minnesota has been texting me back and forth a bit. Most of the coaches want me to come out and visit them on campus and they also just want to get to know me."

Graham has yet to make any campus visits but is planning to get out to see a few schools soon.

"I'm planning to get out to see a few schools in person soon. I'm looking at seeing Western Michigan towards the end of February. I'm also looking at heading up to Minnesota for a visit in late February or early March."

Graham, who also plays baseball in the spring for Sterling Newman Central Catholic filled us in on what's he's working on to improve his game this winter.

"I'm working to add more strength and I'm also working on a speed program trying to just get a bit faster and quicker."
