Did you know...Joliet West has made the state football playoff field just once (2014) and Joliet public high schools in total (Joliet East/Joliet Central/Joliet Township) just three others times in school history.
Top Impact Player for Joliet West in 2016? Joliet West then freshman QB Jaxon Aubry was thrown into varsity action late last season because of an injury to starter Alex Tibble and Aubry handled that transition pretty well. Aubry is the son of head coach Jason Aubry and the younger Aubry will be asked to take a leadership role along with getting a young but talented Tigers offense rolling in 2016.
Biggest Concern heading into 2016? Can the Tigers play well for four quarters each and every week for nine plus weeks? Joliet West at times has been very solid yet also has some extended lapses and breakdowns as well. Joliet West has improved it's overall program in several regards and if this team can play hard and execute down in and down out....they could be in contention for a conference title in 2016.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2016 Joliet West? It took a bit longer than many Joliet West fans wanted, but the Tigers are starting to turn the corner under Jason Aubry. Last year this team was playoff bound until suffering a huge season ending injury loss of starting QB Alex Tibble. While the Southwest Prairie will present some big challenges (Oswego/Oswego East/Minooka) I still like this conference move as a positive for the Tigers.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early regular season record prediction for Joliet West? 6-3/5-4
