2016 Central Newman Catholic Summer/7on7 plans

Did you know...Sterling Newman Central Catholic is 37th most winningest football programs in the State of Illinois according to the recently released Kev Varney and Tom Sikorski's Winningest Teams of All Time listing? The Comets have an overall record of 551-298-31 and an outstanding 64 percent all time winning percentage.

Top Impact Player for Newman Central Catholic in 2016? Junior QB Landon Vesley had a terrific 2015 season for the Comets. If Sterling Newman Central Catholic plans to make yet another deep run in 2016 look for Vesley to have a big season.

Biggest Concern heading into 2016? Overall numbers and depth. Again for most schools at the 4A and below level overall numbers remains a concern especially over the past few seasons.

EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2016 Sterling Newman Central Catholic? Year in and year out the Comets are a state title contender. Last season running into a very hot and talented Bishop McNamara team was poor timing via the brackets. Look for the Comets to again challenge for a conference crown and beyond this season.

EDGYTIM's Way Too Early regular season record prediction for Newman Central Catholic? 8-1
