Did you know...St. Charles East 11-1 record in 2016 was the best finish for the Saints program since 2005? East has also never made it past the IHSA state quarterfinal round in school history.

Top Impact Player for St. Charles East in 2017? The Saints have a very good and very key group of returning starters in 2017. Yet if the Saints plan to make another deep playoff run, look towards senior QB/DB Clayton Isbell (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) to play a huge roll. Isbell, who had a standout junior year as a receiver/slotback and defensive back will be asked to run the Saints power option offense in 2017. If Isbell can adjust to making good reads in the power game, look out.

Biggest Concern heading into 2017? Line play. The Saints graduated four starters on the offensive line from a season ago with just junior OL Justin Hull (6-foot-3, 265 pounds) back with experience. The defensive line will also feature all new starters in 2017.

EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2017 St. Charles East Saints? The Saints have the potential to become another tough out in 2017 and the returning starters/talent level is very high with this group. The early schedule should allow St. Charles East to break in some new faces upfront on both sides of the football. The sooner the line gets going all the better for the Saints in 2017.

EDGYTIM's Way Too Early regular season record prediction for St. Charles East? 7-2/6-3
