Plainfield (Ill.) North senior defensive back recruit Kevin Block (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) has been very impressive this spring and summer for the Tigers and head coach Tim Kane. Get to know this name to watch from the Class of 2017 here.
"I'm still trying to figure out if I'm going to any more college camps," Block said. "I'm working now with my team and that's been going well. I'm also working at quarterback along with defensive back so it's been busy for me."
Block talked about his recent college one day camp experiences.
"I camped at NIU, Ball State, the North Central College camp with Purdue plus the Northwestern Showcase. I have offers from the University of Mary (D2) along with St. Francis (NAIA) in Joliet. We've also been traveling to a few 7on7's with my team to NIU and Notre Dame. I've stayed in touch with NIU, North Dakota State along with some Ivy League schools ."
Block, who plays both safety and cornerback for the Tigers also talked about re-learning the quarterback position this summer.
"We have a few injuries so my coaches asked me to take some snaps this summer., I played quarterback when I was younger so it's been an adjustment. The 7on7's have been a big help and so far I like playing quarterback."
Block is also excited for his upcoming senior season.
"We have a good group back and it's all about getting to the state playoffs for us. Once you get in anything can happen."
