Chicago (IL) Marist sophomore wide receiver recruit Jadon Thompson (6-foot-3, 160 pounds) was one of several top names who took part in Monday's Boom Midwest Presidents Day 7on7. Thompson checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news here.
"I just love going out and competing and today (Boom Midwest 7on7) was just fun," Thompson said. "I'm always working and trying to get better and this was just another chance for me to work on my overall receiving skills."
Thompson was able to add two recent scholarship offers.
"I added recent offers from Toledo and Cincinnati. Both schools offered me in late January. I've also been in touch with Penn State along with Michigan State. Both schools want me to visit them sometime soon."
Does Thompson have any upcoming college visit plans?
"I'm looking at getting out sometime to visit Iowa State, Illinois and Indiana. I'm sure I'll also try to work a few more visits into my schedule."
Has Thompson have any plans for camps this coming spring or summer?
"I'm still not sure right now. I'm focused on school along with my team and working to get better. I'm also excited to help Boom win a national 7on7 championship. Our team has a lot of unfinished business after last season and I can't wait for my junior season."
Thompson, who's extremely grateful for all of his recruiting offers and attention is also not too focused on his overall process for now.
"My family and I talked about the process a little bit but I just try to remain humble and just keep working hard."
Jadon Thompson has scholarship offers from Iowa State, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Howard, Toledo and Cincinnati.
