Coleman adds his first offer

Oswego Ill. junior athlete prospect Charles Coleman (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) was able to add his first scholarship offer on Thursday from North Dakota. Coleman discusses adding his first offer and more in this recruiting update.

"Honestly it's even hard to describe how it feels to add my first offer," Coleman said. "It just feels good and pretty amazing and it's also exciting for me and my family. Hopefully more schools will start to take notice of me a bit harder."

Coleman filled us in on his thoughts and impressions of North Dakota.

"I had been staying in touch with North Dakota quite a bit over the last few weeks with Coach (Carl) Reinholz. He told me to call back today (Thursday) because Coach Bubba (Schweigert) the head coach wanted to talk to me and that's when they offered me. I don't know a lot about North Dakota to be honest but I'm planning to go out to visit them on March 30th."

Coleman, who played running back last season for the Panthers also discussed which position that the Fighting Hawks want him to play.

"North Dakota offered me as a tight end/defensive end recruit. I really have no issue with playing wither position. As long as I can get on the field and help my team that's the real joy I get out of playing the game. Position isn't that big of a deal to me."

Coleman has also been hearing from a handful of new schools.

"Besides North Dakota I've also been in touch with Cincinnati, Western Michigan, Iowa State and a few other Mid American Conference schools have been reaching out lately including Miami of Ohio."

Coleman also has a handful of upcoming spring visits planned.

"Besides visiting North Dakota I'm also planning to visit Purdue on March 24th and also Western Michigan on April 13th."
