2016 Lakes Eagles Summer/7on7 plans

NA

Did you know...that head coach Luke Mertens is the only head varsity football coach in Lakes school history? Meterns enters his 12th season at Lakes with a 66-46 overall record and has led the Eagles to seven straight state playoff appearances.

Top Impact Player for Lakes in 2016? Senior RB/DB Cameron Ruiz (Northwestern) is simply one of the quickest, most athletic kids in the Northwest burbs. Ruiz, who is also a major threat in the return game is a threat to break open a game every time he touches the football.

Biggest Concern heading into 2016? Linemen. Lakes graduated a ton of linemen this past spring on both sides of the football.

EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2016 Lakes Eagles? Lakes enters the new NLCC conference...and just think old North Suburban Prairie with the Grayslake schools added. Lakes has been a very consistent winner and I don't expect that to change in 2016. If Lakes can get it's line play in order they will again be a nice team to watch in 6A.

EDGYTIM's Way Too Early regular season record prediction for Lakes? 8-1/7-2
