2017 results: 8-3 (5-1) West Suburban Silver Conference. Hinsdale Central made the Class 8A state playoff field. The Red Devils defeated Stevenson then lost to Loyola Academy in second round action.

Did you know...that Hinsdale Central has missed the IHSA state football playoff field just once (2010) since the 2001 season?
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2018 Hinsdale Central Red Devils? Lots of talent and experience is back this season for Hinsdale Central. The Red Devils and head coach Dan Hartman might not have that one high profile recruit name in this group, yet Central might have it's best overall talent level and depth in a while this coming fall. Look for Hinsdale Central to be considered as one of the top contenders for the West Suburban Silver title this fall and a Class 8A state playoff bid.
Keep an Eye on: Senior QB Matt Rush was able to put up a pretty impressive junior season at the varsity level in 2017. Rush can be a real dual threat in the Red Devils offense. Whenever Hinsdale Central has a talented, experienced dual threat under center the offense generally this program is hard to beat.
