Did You Know That...Richards head coach Tony Sheehan enters his 10th season in charge of the Richards program in 2017? Richards has also made the state playoffs in 9 of Sheehan's 10 years at Richards, including 9 straight state playoff appearances.

Top Impact Player for Oak Lawn Richards in 2017? Junior QB/S Sebastian Castro. Castro is already drawing Power 5 looks and offers this summer. Castro will also take the reins of the Bulldogs offense this fall and has a chance to become a big time impact player on both sides of the football in 2017.

Biggest Concern heading into 2017? Can the Bulldogs young talent rise to the challenges of 6A? Richards has a ton of talent in 2017 including several underclassmen names to watch. Yet having young talent and winning games doesn't always seem to compute. If the Bulldogs can get on the same page with it's underclassmen group this team could become a real threat in 6A.

EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2017 Oak Lawn Richards Bulldogs?

Richards always has talent and always is a factor in the South Suburban Red. That's a given. Yet this team at least early on has the makings of a team that could make noise. Sebastian Castro will be a big key here especially on offense, and Castro has a very good arm as well as the ability to run at all times. If the young but BIG offensive line can come around this is a serious contender in 6A in 2017.
