2018 OL Boehm adds an offer

Chicago (Ill.) DeLaSalle sophomore offensive guard recruit Nick Boehm (6-foot-3, 285 pounds) was able to add his first scholarship offer recently from Louisiana Tech. Boehm, who is the son of DeLaSalle head coach MIke Boehm fills us in on his first offer and much more here.

"Louisiana Tech offered me a scholarship a few days ago," Boehm said. "The offer sort of came out of nowhere to be honest. It just feels great to get my first offer and it's pretty exciting."

Boehm, who started on the Meteors offensive line in 2015 gave us his thoughts on adding his first offer from the La Tech.

"It's just sort of a surreal feeling to have my first offer. The coaches at LA Tech said they really liked my video and wanted to be the first school to offer me a scholarship. I still don't know a ton about Louisiana Tech to be honest. I know that they play in Conference USA and that they played in a bowl game last season. The coaches want me to come down and visit them soon. We are talking about maybe making a trip to La Tech this summer."

Boehm has made a few recent unofficial visits.

"I've been able to visit Western Michigan and also Eastern Michigan. I enjoyed just seeing both schools in person and getting to learn more about each school and each football program."

Boehm also filled us in on what he feels he does well on the field along with which part of his game he's focusing on to improve this spring.

"I like to think that I have pretty good feet and footwork. I also can make good reads and the right reads. I'm working hard this off season on getting stronger along with just improving my overall speed."
