2017 results: 8-3 (3-1) Northern Illinois Big 12 East. Made the Class 7A State Playoffs. Defeated Montini Catholic in Round 1 then lost to Willowbrook in Class 7A second round action.

Did you know....that the 2018 season will be the last year of the current Northern Illinois Big 12 conference as several conference members will be leaving for various new conference homes starting in 2019.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2018 DeKalb Barbs? DeKalb under Matt Weckler and staff have been a consistent winner. The Barbs will be a bit young this coming season yet they also possess some key returning starters in several important spots. The Barbs will once again challenge for the NIB 12 East conference race and will also challenge for an IHSA state playoff spot this post-season. Also look for a faster team this season especially in the offensive skills department in 2018.
